What It Is
CamModelDirectory (CMD) is a model directory and payment marketplace for private, pay-per-minute video shows held on Skype, Teams, Discord and Telegram rather than inside a streaming room on the site itself. Independent webcam models and cam studios list profiles, and a member browses them, adds funds and calls the model on the outside app. Joining as a member is free: the homepage offers a "FREE Member Account" and a "Join For Free" button, and a top-up on the signup panel is shown as "Add $25" by debit or credit card.
The site is aimed at two audiences. Members get 1-on-1 shows without a crowded public room. Models and studios get a way to sell shows, videos, photo sets and other content while keeping most of the money, which is the pitch the pages lean on hardest. The homepage says "Bring Your Fans. Keep 90%." and pitches itself as a Patreon and Shopify combination built for adult creators. The about page calls CMD "the largest directory of independent webcam models providing adult chat on Skype and other video chat platforms such as Hangouts and Discord", which is the site's own claim.
What You Get and How the Money Works
The core product is the private show. The site's help pages describe CMD as the place to engage in "private, safe, and discreet cybersex" with webcam models, and the studio page states that "CMD is the only Skype pay-per-minute technology provider." The homepage names the apps as Teams, Discord and Telegram, and its signup text says funds are credited "to call models via Teams, Telegram or Discord" and "will be used only when you will have calls with models via Skype." The footer adds that models can use the "CMD Skype plugin for charging cam2cam live skype sex shows (pay per minute) in real time", and that the system uses only the Skype IDs that models and members make public, never Skype credits or account details. So the meter runs on CMD while the video runs on the outside app, and cam2cam is part of the format.
How the member side works, as the pages describe it. A member creates an account, then adds funds that can be spent on services with models. The site says this makes buying simpler and reduces the number of separate charges to your card. Repeat purchases are quicker too: a returning member only needs to enter the CVV of the card and accept the terms of service. Members can keep a favorites list of models, and they can buy videos that models have put on sale. The site says you choose how much you want to pay and that exact amount is charged, with no hidden fees and no recurring charges. Paying for a show is "a one time charge."
Beyond live shows, the models' side of the site sells other things. The how-it-works page lists videos that models upload and sell, custom videos made for a client who wants something more personal, picture sets, and access to a model's Snapchat. The homepage groups this as "Sell Content" (videos, images and digital products), with a separate "Live Streams" line naming Teams, Discord and Telegram. A "Products" and a "Videos" link sit in the main navigation next to "Models," so the video catalog is a browsable section of its own.
Visibility inside the directory can be bought. A model can become a featured model by placing a bid. The site says there are typically 10 featured spots, sold on a weekly basis, and a bid in the top 10 submitted for the week wins; the winning bid is deducted from the model's payout. A model's online status is simple: it shows online when she is logged in to her CMD dashboard and offline otherwise, and it updates the moment she logs in or out.
Verification is part of the pitch. The how-it-works page says all models listed are "100% real, 100% authentic and 100% live." Each model goes through a verification call in which staff check that her profile photos match how she looks and ask questions to confirm the call is not a recording. Profile photos must be real photos of the model, at least 480 x 480 pixels, and the site does not allow exposed genitals, anus or sex acts in them, while bare chests and breasts are allowed. Members are told that recording a show without the model's consent is a copyright violation, and that abuse can be reported.
For the creator-live angle, the homepage is explicit that CMD "helps adult creators and webcam models sell content and host live shows on Teams, Discord & Telegram." The creator brings the audience, and CMD handles the storefront, the payments and the directory listing. A studio route exists as well: a "CMD is for Web Cam Studios" page and a studio account registration, and the footer lists a model agreement (contract) and a compatible tablets and smartphones page for performers.
Figures from the Pages
Member costs: each model sets her own prices, which the about page says go in her ad along with her contact details and the services she offers. The site-wide amount on the homepage is the "Add $25" top-up on the signup panel, paid by debit or credit card through an outside payment processor.
Refunds: the about page allows a refund only when a member pays for a service and the model does not provide it, and only for payments made through the payment button on the model's ad. Dissatisfaction with a show is not grounds for one, and CMD "will NOT provide any refunds for unused minutes": a member who ends a call early has no claim to the remaining time, so the site advises buying only the time you plan to use.
Billing descriptors: the site names three. The about page says charges are listed discreetly as "IndiePartners." The how-it-works page says purchases show on a card statement as "cmd-dir.com." The signup panel on the homepage says "Your bank statement will register as a payment towards "vtsup.com*PPM INTERN"". The site says its payment gateway is PCI compliant, that it does not store your personal information, and that models never have access to your credit card information. It also says that under no circumstances will a model accept PayPal, and members are told not to ask models to be paid that way.
Model payouts, which two different sets of pages state differently. The FAQ says a model earns a 75% commission on the first $500 of earnings in a month and 80% on all earnings over $500 in that month, and the rate resets to 75% at the start of each month. The homepage, written for creators, says "Earn 90% Now!" and "90% Payout." The about page adds that models are paid weekly. Both payout figures appear on the site, so the payout is something the site states two ways. The site contrasts this with "big-box chat sites" that it says charge "very high fees... frequently 50%, 60% or even 70%."
Traffic claim: the site calls itself "a highly trafficked site with thousands of visitors viewing our content daily." That is the site's own statement.
Payment methods named: debit and credit cards for members. The homepage payments block also lists "Crypto" under its creator pitch. Billing questions go to a billing address and support page the homepage gives.
Who It Suits and Who It Does Not
CMD suits a member who already likes the idea of a scheduled 1-on-1 video call on Skype, Teams, Discord or Telegram and wants to prepay a balance instead of tipping in a public room. It also fits someone who prefers to buy a custom video or a photo set from an independent model instead of a subscription. Anyone worried about a statement line should note the free account and the fact that the pages describe repeat payments as one-time charges, with no recurring billing.
It suits models and studios with an existing audience, the people the homepage means by "Bring Your Fans." They keep more of each sale than the big-box sites allow, according to the site, and they can pay for a featured slot when they want more visibility.
The limits are real. There is no site-wide price list, so a member learns a model's rate only from her ad. The homepage frames live shows as happening on outside apps, and the site names two sets of apps and three billing descriptors, so a first-time member meets some inconsistency between pages. Unused minutes are not refunded. Someone who wants free public rooms, tipping and a wide live roster browsing in one place will not find that model here.
