What the platform is

Chatgirl.nl is a free, Dutch adult chat site with a webcam option, not a token or pay-per-minute cam site. Its page title calls it "De oudste en grootste gratis sexchat van Nederland", the oldest and largest free sex chat in the Netherlands, and that is the site's own claim. The welcome text describes a free 18+ sex chat for singles and couples, including a webcam option, and adds that everyone is welcome as long as they stick to the rules.

The people on camera here are the chatters themselves, not studio performers, and the site describes no token payouts or performer application. A visitor can enter without a profile, so opening it costs nothing, and the first decision is whether to log in as a free user or as a VIP. The site's own language is Dutch, and the rules name Dutch, German and English as the languages allowed in its chats.

What you get and how the money works

The front page is short. Its navigation lists five areas: Chat, Profielen (profiles), Webcams, Sexverhalen (sex stories) and Forum. Below the welcome text sit two buttons, one to log in as a free user and one to log in as a VIP. A profile is optional: the welcome text says you can log in with the buttons and that "een profiel is niet verplicht", a profile is not required, with a separate link to create one. That makes Chatgirl.nl a free room in the plainest sense. The front page shows no token store, no credit packages and no per-minute private show, and the VIP login is the only paid tier it names. Beside it sits a recommendations strip that links to Voyeur.nl (labeled "100% echt"), Live cams, a sex shop and an AI girlfriend, plus a rotating sex shop product box. A Discrete Modus switch hides sensitive content for use in public spaces.

The VIP tier is described through the rules page. The rules for VIP users are the same as for everyone else, with a set of exceptions:

• VIP users may put commercial additions in their chat text and in their CV, and may place a website or homepage in the CV, but not in the profile, except on a GOLD profile. A Gold profile may carry commercial messages, but only in the extra fields it has.
• VIP users may use HTML in the CV, as long as it causes no nuisance or deception.
• VIP users may do paid camming or video calling, but only through an official cam site. Skype, Zoom, Kik, Telegram and similar apps are not allowed for it.
• Only 1 VIP user may log in per IP address, even when several VIP accounts have been paid for.
• Business ads are allowed for VIP users only within the rules and with the explicit permission of the webmaster.
• Selling underwear, films and photos is allowed only with an approved profile that carries an authenticity stamp ("echtheidsstempel").
• VIP users may promote a website, but the rules remind them that it is a chat box and chatting comes first.

Because the webcam option is part of the free chat, the free-cams angle covers the whole site: you open the chat and can switch the camera on. The rules narrow what the webcam is for. The camera function may only be used to broadcast live camera footage, not photos, earlier recorded video or text, and broadcasting loud music through the cam is not allowed, though quiet background music is. So a camera here is meant to show a live person.

Moderation is stated in the rules, and it shapes what the whole chat looks like:

• Mentioning homepages, internet addresses and social media names (the rules name Skype, Zoom, Kik and ICQ) in the chat or in a profile is not allowed, nor is posting phone numbers or addresses.
• Asking for, offering or accepting payment is not allowed, and the rules extend that to cost contributions and payment in kind. Asking for money by bank transfer, PayPal, Paysafe card or any other payment method, or asking for prepayment, is banned outright, as are calls to borrow money.
• Fake, misleading or insulting profiles are not allowed, and photos must be your own, with nobody else recognizable on them.
• Photos showing more than "bikini-bloot" go behind the 18+ option.
• Padding a name with extra letters to rank higher in the list, spamming the same message and staying online only to promote yourself are all banned.
• A number between 9 and 18 behind a name is not allowed, with an exception for a length written with "cm".
• Publicly accusing or smearing other chatters is not allowed, and neither is trying to find out their contact or private details with questions such as "Wie kent...".
• Taboo subjects are not welcome; the rules name family, incest and extreme themes, and names such as mama, papa or nudist.
• Drug-related calls, recruiting chatters into escort work and luring people to clubs are banned.

The figures and claims on the site

There are very few numbers. The claims that do appear are these:

• The "oudste en grootste gratis sexchat van Nederland" line in the page title, which is the site's own claim.
• "Wij ontvangen dagelijks vele duizenden chatters", meaning the site says it receives many thousands of chatters every day. The rules page uses it as the reason it cannot check everyone for authenticity.
• A minimum age of 18 for all users, stated in the rules.

The rules page adds several operating facts. The site says it may hand over the log files of all chats to the police when asked, or when it has reason to, and that it reports illegal practices to the police along with the person's details, including the active IP address. Admins and operators may check any user, and their instructions must be followed. People who log in as a photographer or masseur must say clearly in the chat that it is free. The site can delete profiles that break the rules without giving a reason. Breaking the rules can lead to partial or full removal, and continued resistance can end in a total block from its websites. Chatting is entirely at your own risk and the site says it is not liable in any form. Questions and complaints go through the feedback button in the chat.

Who it suits and who it does not

Chatgirl.nl suits a Dutch-speaking adult, or a German or English speaker comfortable in a mostly Dutch room, who wants to talk, flirt and use a webcam without paying to start and without building a profile first. It also suits someone who already has a favorite paid cam site and wants a free place to meet people: the VIP rules say as much by allowing paid camming only through an official cam site. Couples are named in the welcome text alongside singles.

It does not suit someone who wants a catalog of professional performers, private shows priced per minute, or toys that respond to tips. It is also a poor fit for anyone who needs the site to vouch for the people on it: the rules say the operators cannot verify thousands of daily chatters, and they ask users to keep that in mind. Anonymity has limits too, since the site keeps chat logs it may give to the police.
