What it is

いちゃトーク (Icha Talk) is a Japanese-language adult live chat service for smartphones and PCs. The site's vocabulary says a lot about the product. It does not sell shows; it sells デート, dates, and it calls the women 配信者, the word used for livestreamers. The pitch in the FAQ is real-time communication with a favorite broadcaster in the style a viewer prefers, in what it calls a safe and secure environment (安心・安全な環境). That makes it a chat service sold on time spent with one person, with the group room as the shared way in.

What you get and how the rooms work

The FAQ names the three formats and says a viewer picks one of the 3 to suit the situation and mood. グループデート, the group date, is a room where everyone shares the same broadcaster. 2ショットデート is the one-to-one date, and the site says that in a 2-shot the two of them can also talk by voice and video call. こっそり視聴, quiet viewing, is described as a casual way to peek in. A heading near the footer, チャットの種類とポイント消費について, ties the chat types to how many points each consumes.

A tag guide on the home page shows how those formats play out room by room, and it is the most concrete set of rules the site gives:

• いちゃいちゃ中: a group date is running, and anyone can enter.
• 2ショット中: the broadcaster is on a date with one person, and nobody else can enter.
• 今すぐ話せる: the room has no viewers yet, and anyone can enter.

The site does not publish those rates on its home page, so the gap between a group date, a 2-shot and a quiet peek has to be read there.

• Each date type then draws its own number of points.
• The first toy use in a room is free, according to the room labels.

Who it suits and who it does not

This suits a viewer who reads Japanese and wants a chat-first service rather than a watch-and-tip one. The group date is the shared, lower-commitment entry; the 2-shot gives a private voice and video call; quiet viewing lets a visitor look before joining. Free registration and the first free ticket mean the first session can cost nothing, and the free toy use lets a viewer try the interactive side at no charge. The request and meeting tags suit someone who wants to call a particular broadcaster online or book her for a set time rather than wait.

It is a weaker fit for a viewer who does not read Japanese: the FAQ, the room tags, the pricing guide and the legal pages are all in Japanese. A buyer who wants to compare the price of each date type before signing up has to go to the pricing guide, since the home page gives no rates. And the roster is women only, with no sections for men, couples or trans broadcasters.
