What the platform is

ChatGo is a free German-language webcam chat site, not a performer platform. Its masthead promises "Kostenlos Chat ohne Anmeldung oder Registrierung" (free chat without signing up or registering), and the site describes visitors chatting with each other in rooms, over text and webcam, rather than watching paid broadcasters. There is no roster of models, no show schedule and no price anywhere on the site. It is built for German speakers: the copy says it connects people "aus ganz Deutschland" (from all over Germany), and every page is in German. It is open to guests, who pick any free username and enter at once. The main page adds that visitors should be at least 18 years old to chat there. What you get and how the money works

The navigation shows the four sections the site is organized around: CamChat, Chatroulette Girls, GayChat and Sexchat. Each one also has a page of its own with its own entry button ("Zugang", access).

CamChat is the general section. Its page says it connects you, through your webcam or cam to cam, with another video chat partner, and that only women and girls chat with you "per Zufallsprinzip" (at random). The main page frames it in dating terms: "Frau sucht Mann" and "Sie sucht ihn" (woman seeks man), a place to meet women in the chat and get to know them at once. The section page also carries a link labeled "regeln" (rules) next to its entry form.

GayChat is the men's and mixed section. Its heading is "Gaychat, schwulen chat, bisexuelle und Trans" (gay chat, bisexual and trans), and the text says it is a gay chat with many men online who want to chat, flirt, write privately or simply get to know you. It adds that the section is open whether a visitor is gay, transsexual, bisexual, heterosexual or transgender, and that a profile, webcams, pictures and "vielen Extras" (many extras) are free and possible without registration. Private messages are therefore part of this room, beside the open chat.

Sexchat is the adult section. The main page labels it "Sexchat, Erotikchat, 6Chat" and says it is a free chat without signing up where women and men chat together. A separate sexcam page carries the title "Camsex ohne Anmeldung, Kostenlos Sexcam" (cam sex without signing up, free sex cam) and repeats the same promise for women and men, calling it a place to meet others and find new contacts and friends. The footer links name further topics with their own entries: an erotic chat for Berlin, a partner swap chat ("Partnertausch"), a lesbian chat, the sexcam page, and two free chats called erotikchat4free and chat4free.

The entrance step is the same on every section page. A short form asks for gender, male or female, and for a tick in a box confirming "Ja, ich habe die AGB gelesen und akzeptiert" (yes, I have read and accepted the terms). After that, the general chat text says, guests go straight into a chat room, everybody else in the room can see them, and they chat along live. The site says it offers a choice of chat rooms ("mehrere Chaträume"), that it works on a computer, a tablet and a smartphone ("Immer und überall flirten", flirt always and everywhere), and that guests can pick any username that is not already taken when they log in. The main page points to other chats by name. It asks "Kennst Du schon unseren neuen camchat?" It also links to meinsinglechat.de and meinsexchat.de, and the gay and random sections link to meingaychat.de and meinchatroulette.de. Only meincamchat.de is called "our" chat; the others appear as links with a one-line pitch each.

There are very few. ChatGo carries no token package, no per-minute rate, no membership price and no credit offer, and it shows no payment option at all. Every section is called free ("kostenlos" or "gratis"), and the headline promises chat without signing up or registering. The paywall question therefore has a plain answer: nothing is charged at the door, and the site describes no paid tier.

The facts that can be quoted are these:

Who it suits and who it does not

ChatGo suits a German-speaking visitor who wants to talk to other people on camera or by text without opening an account, paying or handing over an email address. The guest username, the free-of-charge claim and the choice between a general section, a women-only random section and a gay section make it a low-effort way to find out whether random video chat appeals. The gay section is the clearest fit for a man looking for other men in German, and it welcomes bisexual, trans and heterosexual visitors too. Phone and tablet users are covered by the site's own account of where it runs.

It suits poorly anyone who wants paid private shows, tip menus, interactive toys or a roster of professional performers, because ChatGo offers none of that. The women-only room matches strangers at random, so a visitor cannot choose who appears. The other people in a room are fellow visitors rather than paid performers, so what happens on camera depends on who is online. The latest year in the footer is 2021, which says nothing about how busy a room is today. English speakers will find nothing translated.
