What the platform is

Ragazzeinvendita.com, which the site shortens to RIV, is an Italian cam community that runs on credits. It calls itself "il primo sito in Italia di camgirls e videochat erotiche" (the first site in Italy for camgirls and erotic video chat), which is the site's own claim. Most performers are Italian women, the cam-girls page says, alongside women from other countries, men, couples and trans performers. A visitor registers for free, talks to performers in a public chat, and then pays in credits for a group show, a private show or content such as short videos. Private rates are shown per minute in credits on each performer's tile, and the interface comes in Italian and English.

What you get and how the money works

The how-it-works page lays out the path. A visitor joins for free, enters the public chat with performers from many countries who speak several languages, and once someone appeals, invites her to a private chat. The roster figures are the site's own. The gay page says the network has about 40,000 performers, of whom men are about 6,000, "quindi circa il 15% sul totale" (so about 15% of the total), and elsewhere on the same page that more than 5,000 men are available to perform. The cam-girls page speaks of almost 40,000 women and girls. The cam-girls page promises "le donne più belle del mondo" (the most beautiful women in the world) in its marketing copy.

Who it suits and who it does not

RIV suits an Italian speaker who wants a large cam community with mostly Italian performers and an English option for the interface. Free sign-up and the public chat give a way to look around before spending, and the per-minute rate on each tile lets a viewer compare performers before going private. The price filter, the language filter and the city search help a viewer who knows what he wants.
