What BobTV is

BobTV is a French-language adult webcam chat run for amateurs, not a studio site. Its masthead reads "BobTV, le Tchat Webcam pour Adultes de BobVoyeur 18+", and the site says it is offered by bobvoyeur.com, which it describes as an exhibition site. Couples, women and men broadcast themselves in chat rooms, and other members watch and talk. The site says access to the video chat rooms is free, and that a quick free registration is enough to chat on cam. The one paid tier is the XXL pack, a single purchase that opens the full feature set.

What you get and how it works

The site describes itself as "dedicated to exhibition" (dédié à l'exhibition): couples making love on cam, and women and men showing themselves nude in the chat rooms. It calls itself a meeting place for respectful amateur exhibitionists, and adds that nudity and sexual practices are encouraged within the limits of decency and the law. Its own account of the audience is "des milliers d'amateurs coquins", thousands of playful amateurs, and couples who practice swinging or not. That is the site's own description of its crowd. The meta description of the site adds that nudity and sex on cam are accepted in the chat rooms.

The home page shows a set of public rooms, each with a row of live thumbnails that are blurred, with the caption "Flouté par respect de la vie privée" (blurred out of respect for privacy). The rooms are named BobTV, BobTV Garçons and BobTV II. BobTV Garçons is the one for men: another page on the site labels it a video chat room reserved for men 18 and over. That is the gay and bi-men entry point: the room's own description calls it the webcam chat "pour les hommes gay, travestis ou bi-sexuel" (for gay, cross-dressing or bisexual men), built around male exhibition on cam. The home page also lists "travestis" among the people a member can chat with. Beside the fixed rooms sits My BobTV, a section where a member can create their own room. The site says members run their own webcam chat rooms and welcome visitors there 24 hours a day, in what it calls a libertine, festive and uninhibited mood, and it calls the My BobTV room platform unique in France. A member can also ask to become a moderator of those rooms, and the XXL pack mentions taking part in collective moderation.

Free registration opens a profile. The site says it is enough to introduce yourself, either to start showing yourself or to watch. It also suits someone who wants to try a cam community cheaply: the rooms are free and the single XXL purchase does not renew.

It is a poor fit for an English-only reader, since the whole interface is in French. It is also a poor fit for someone who wants professional performers on a schedule, per-minute private shows or a token menu. The site's own money story is a one-time pack plus gifts.
