What Liberticam is

Liberticam.com is a French-language libertine community built around a shared multi-webcam video chat room, with member profiles, private messages and a live show section beside it. It says it has run "Depuis 2007" (since 2007) and calls itself "le 1er site libertin avec visio chat multi-webcams" (the first libertine site with multi-webcam video chat), which is the site's own claim. The people on camera are members, couples and individual women and men who put themselves on show, and the site stresses that there are no paid hosts: "Pas d'hotesses ! Que du réel !" (no hostesses, only the real thing). The masthead advertises the whole service as free: "Free Sex and Cam ! 100% Gratuit 24H/24H" (100% free, 24 hours a day). The whole site is in French, and its member tiles show French towns such as Paris and Marseille alongside towns in Quebec.

What you get and how the money works

The video chat room. The core of the site is the "salon visio", the video chat room, which the menu also calls "Le visiochat" and the front page "Le webcam chat libertin". Several webcams run at once in the same room, which is what the "multi-webcams" in the site's slogan refers to. The front page invites visitors to try the new version of the room, which it says is compatible with more browsers and with Android and iOS tablets and smartphones, so the room works from a phone. In the room you can "matter" (watch) couples, women and men "qui s'exhibent" (who show themselves off), and the front page promises "Exhib et webcam sexe de couples et de femmes 24/24H dans le salon visio" (exhibition and sex webcam of couples and women around the clock in the video room). A live counter on the front page shows how many members are connected to the site and how many are in the video chat at that moment.

Amateurs, not hosts. The front page invites visitors to "matter de réelles amatrices près de chez vous" (watch real amateur women near you). Everyone on camera is a member who chose to broadcast, so the room is a free, shared amateur space rather than a set of paid performer rooms. For readers coming from the couples and groups list, couples are the first group the site names, both in the video room and in the member lists: front-page strips show couple profiles, and a profile page links to a list of swinger couples near the member's town.

Live show and shop. "Le liveshow" is a separate menu entry, and the footer lists "Le Live Show" and "La boutique Sexy" (the sexy shop) under Services, beside "Trouver un Club Libertin" (find a libertine club). The live show sits apart from the free shared room as its own section of the site.

The member directory. Around the room is a member community. The menu offers "Les membres", "Mon espace" (my space), "Connexion" and "Créer mon profil" (create my profile), and the footer adds "Chercher un libertin" (search for a libertine). The front page has a "Bienvenue aux nouveaux" (welcome to the newcomers) strip with recent sign-ups, a "Qui rencontrer ?" (who to meet) strip, and a list of members online. Each tile shows a username, an age, a town and sometimes a short message in the member's own words.

Profiles and contact. A member's profile page shows age, town, country, height, weight and orientation, how much time the member has already spent in the video chat, and how many times the profile has been viewed. The actions on it are "Contacter" (contact), "Laisser un message" (leave a message), "Flasher sur elle" (flash her), "Offrir un PASS" (offer a pass) and "Blacklister" (block). Under the profile, a "Qui rencontrer près de" (who to meet near) list suggests other members in nearby towns, so the site doubles as a local contact service: on a profile in Quebec, the list runs through Montreal, Trois-Rivieres, Gatineau and Longueuil.

Where members are. The front page tiles show towns such as Paris, Metz, Nantes, Marseille, Nancy and Rennes, and the profile page places members in Quebec and around Montreal. That puts French-speaking viewers at the center of the community, on both sides of the Atlantic, which is why the site appears among the European cam sites in this directory.

Links and help. The footer gives a "Sites Amis" (friendly sites) list with names such as "Annonces Coquines", "Plans cul & partouzes" and "Lieux de drague", and a profile page carries a "Lien sponsorisé" (sponsored link) line offering a direct encounter through an outside site, so some links on the pages are advertising for third parties. For help, the footer lists "Aide / FAQ", "Contacter le support" and "Lire les CGU" (read the terms of use), plus "Avis / témoignages de membres" (member reviews and testimonials) and a form to leave your own review. Social links go to Facebook and Twitter.

The figures from the pages

  • Members: "Plus de 421 833 libertins à rencontrer" (more than 421,833 libertines to meet), the site's own membership claim.
  • Age of the site: "Depuis 2007".
  • Cost: "100% Gratuit 24H/24H", repeated in the page title "Webcam Chat Libertin GRATUIT ! Sexe et Exhib live 24/24H".
  • Devices: the video chat works on Android and iOS tablets and smartphones as well as in desktop browsers.

The site does not publish a price for anything, and the pages show no tokens, credits or subscriptions. The paywall, as far as the front page tells it, is not there: entry, the video room and member contact are all presented as free.

Who it suits and who it does not

Liberticam suits a French-speaking adult who wants to watch amateur couples and individuals in a shared room at no stated cost, and who is as interested in meeting people locally as in watching. Its profile pages are built for that: town, age, a message button and a list of members nearby are all on one screen. It also suits someone who already knows the libertine scene, since the site points to clubs and to partner sites for meetings, and couples who want to show themselves to other couples.

It suits a viewer less if the wish is a studio cam site with private shows priced per minute, toy-controlled tips or a large international roster; the site is a member room, not a performer marketplace. A reader who does not read French will find the navigation, the profiles and the terms hard to use. The live show, the shop and the PASS are listed without explanation on the front page, so a visitor should expect to find out what they involve after signing up.
